dog not eating

I adopted a drop off bout a year ago. Vet gave her a clean bill of health. This last week or so I noticed that she doesn't gobble her food up like characteristic for a dog.

What could be the problem? She has in the last month been more friendly. On the walk last night she pulled like a horse as always.

She is at least part chow and I suspect some kind of boxer mix.

I changed her food, and offered her a dog biscuit which she turned down. Last night she downed it in the usual manner.

My dogs don't eat as much during hot weather and they sometimes have an "off" night when one will refuse to eat.

If she's healthy, I wouldn't worry to much.

A lot of the asian spitz breeds do not gobble dog food and go off dog food often. They do a lot better on raw or at least grain free dense kibble. Mine would go on kibble strikes a few times a year until we started feeding mostly raw. Most people I know with these breeds have similar issues and free feed kibble because getting them to eat meals is very difficult. They just aren't motivated by kibble which can frustrate people who are used to dogs like herding and retrieving breeds that will inhale whatever you put in front of them.

Also never feed cooked bones and pork is one of the worst. My dog just had a $2000 surgery because she grabbed some cooked pork bones out of the trash. All raw bones are safe although some meat has to be frozen for a certain amount of time to be safe raw. Pork is one you want to freeze solid for about 3 weeks to kill a parasite that can be found in raw pork.

After thinkning about it I agree that could be the issue. Just never ran across it before. Cooled down this morning and she gobbled it right up. Thanks
