Saddened Today

For no real reason. Just took a few steps back in recovery for old Scooter. I start feeling better about it all, then *wham, something stupid hits me and it's two steps back.

Yep, I know that feeling....there is no rhyme nor reason to grief. It just has to work its course.....

It still happens to me and Max has been gone over 3 yrs. I'll get to thinking about him, especially now that we have another schnauzer, (Luigi) At least Luigi has a different personality than Max had.

Believe me, I know the feeling. It's all part of the process. You have good days and bad days. Eventually, the good days start to outweigh the bad days, but it takes time, and sometimes it feels like you're moving backward. Again, it's all part of the grief process. Hugs to you!

I'm sorry. Once in a while I still tear up about Mr. Sasha and it's been over a year. I can look at photos and remember things with a smile. But when dd and I talked yesterday about how Sasha would "sing" when we sang happy birthday, I teared up. We will always remember and miss the ones that pass, but eventually the smiles overtake the tears when you think back.

I still shed tears when thinking about my shelties, one I lost to kidney failure 6 years ago and the other to cancer almost 2 years ago. Lots of good memories, they were both with me for many years. Somedays I just ache to see them and touch them again. And it hurts.

I know just how you're feeling. It will get easier. You will have more good days than bad soon. Hold onto the happy memories, they will get you through.... Hugs, beccachow.
