More dove questions :)

I posted about my new pet doves a while back. Doves?

Come to find out they are both girls. Laid numerous eggs (4 at a time) and none of them hatched or grew at all (I candled them).

We decided found some wild mourning dove eggs and switched them (2 weeks ago, and got to watch them grow by candling them every few days--so cool). Last night both of them hatched

Well, I don't think they are feeding the babies, they sit on them, but already they seem weaker this afternoon than they did this morning (maybe it's my imagination, though). I don't know anything about this really. Thought maybe that it might be that male birds are the ones that feed babies?

Just posting here to see if anyone has any advice and just to chat about it. Will 2 females feed babies? This is so cool, anyway.

I saw them doing it a few minutes ago. They won't let me watch, though. They stop when I get close. Oh well, hopefully they will live.

Most likely they will be fine.

It only takes about 3 weeks before they can start to eat and drink on their own
