This dog never ceases to amaze me...

I was always a cat person before. When my 20+ yo cat died though I just couldn't replace her. Then I started wanting a dog which was odd. Growing up we had a gs/collie mix that I still have scars from. 18 stitches to my forehead and head. (might just be whats wrong with me:-) ) We got Bandit just over 2 years ago and he has completely changed my mind on dogs! I don't ever want to be without one again. Yesterday I was sick with what I'm pretty sure was a touch of food poisoning...terrible terrible cramps and other things. I mainly stayed in bed moaning most of the morning between trips to the bathroom. He would not leave my side! Not even to go out to potty. The girls tried to get him to go out and he just looked at them. Normally he sleeps at the foot of our bed...yesterday he laid right there on the floor at my side. When I went to the bathroom he followed me. His head was laid up on the bed several times checking on me. Once the worst of it passed I did get him to go out....only as long as he had to though then he was doing his best to open the door to get back in. It just amazes me how in tune he is with us. He's the same way if one of the kids is sick too. Right by their side.
