Craigslist rant

Ok thought this was hilarious, sorry if its not allowed just delete

From Denver CL

I apologize for being remiss in my duties yesterday. I went and got one of those lives people keep touting and got a bit behind. I’m thinking the “get a life” people don’t have the life they think they have. If they had a life, they would not go to the trouble of logging in and typing 2 illegible words just to tell someone to get a life or go the forum.

Thought of the Day: If I offered to drive pets from the old house to the new house, would people include their pets with them on moving day?

It was pretty calm in the neighborhood. No skirmishes to report. I felt kind of like I was in Mr. Roger’s neighborhood or something and started singing “won’t you be my neighbor?” After throwing up, I got back to the job of reporting the news.

This just in: Denver residents are afraid that whatever breed of dog they choose is going to be banned and killed, so they are switching from having dogs as pets to having: ducks, chickens, sheep, llamas and crocodiles.

Question from Craigslist Condensed Management: If people had to pay $500-600.00 to replace their car window every time they locked their dogs (say, for example, a miniature schnauzer and a Bichon Frise)….in a car…. (say, a red 2009 Jeep Patriot)……. in the sun….in 80 degree heat…..when there are a ton of trees to park under, but would’ve had to walk 15 more feet…..with the windows rolled up tight (don’t want the dogs stolen when they’re DEAD and can’t defend themselves). Would people then miraculously get a f’n clue? Anyone in law enforcement? Please let me know my options. I don’t want to burden 911, but also can’t stand by and do nothing for the unlucky dogs that drew a stupid owner card. The last time I encountered stupidity, I asked the store to make an announcement that the person’s window was going to be broken in exactly 5 minutes. I think it had been awhile since the chick had run like that and she was totally clueless. “Cars get too hot for dogs?” I suppose I could just take a tire iron and take care of it myself (breaking the window, of course…………not the neck of the careless, irresponsible, no account owner (say, a 50 year old well dressed Hispanic women with dyed hair).

Male yr old Tabby FREE: Cannot keep due to pregnancy…….Oh, your pregnancy not his. Ok. A little confused.

Beware mommasferrets: If you care about your ferret do not take it to mommasferrets…….Uh, if you care about your ferret, don’t you usually take care of him yourself (excluding our deployed military)? Why doesn’t she have funds for vet care? Doesn’t she put all the money, which she is generously given by the people who ditch their responsibility at her house, towards medical care? WHAT? She just takes on their responsibility with no help? I don’t suppose the ferrets that died had been ditched there because they were diagnosed with Adrenal disease and the loving parents didn’t want to deal with it. Huh? Maybe? Speaking of more harm than good…..are you one of the loving parents? So how does the conversation with the vet reference go? “I’m tired of my ferret and a good Samaritan is willing to take care of it so I don’t have to drop it at the prairie dog town next to my house. I just want to know if she spends a lot of money vetting other people’s responsibilities before I leave my baby with her.”

Boxer pups: $200.00 rehoming fee for people who don’t want to provide vet references and home visit because they’re professional dog sellers. Will lower fee for people who will love them and care for them.

Ultimate dog house: $250.00 for a dog house? I guess it’s a good investment if a foreclosure is eminent. As long as your dog’s a sharer.

Services Schmervices: You’ve been in my paper? How? You are against Forum boy, flaggers, CL staff impersonators and stupidity. You manage to complete entire thought processes without vulgarity. You think PET related items and PET discussions (pertaining to the welfare of animals in general, not one particular animal and his new baby pictures or favorite meal) should be in the PET section. You could use spell check, but did fair without it. How did you ever make it into Craigslist Condensed?

Cute puppy for re-homing: Work picked up? The dog looks 7 or 8 weeks old if he’s a day. Have you had him longer than 24 hours? Here’s a little tip that I’ve found works well. If you’re going to get rid of a Pit bull puppy that you’re keeping in Denver illegally, DON’T PUT YOUR LOCATION AS DOWNTOWN DENVER. That way your puppy might make it to his 9th week of life.

Family needs dog food for pets please: Wow, now that’s a twist I didn’t expect. Someone on Craigslist is doing everything they can to hang on to their dogs. So there are a couple of kids in Denver who are being raised to believe pets are not disposable property? Kudos.

ANY ADVICE?? You have a male pit bull and you are getting him fixed so as not to contribute to the strife these animals are already going through? You are getting him fixed because you love him and don’t want him escaping and getting hit by a car trying to get to one of the numerous un-spayed females. You are getting him fixed so he doesn’t mark your house and find himself being rehomed on Craigslist. You are getting him fixed because you love him and don’t want him to get testicular cancer or prostate problems. BRAVO. Someone help this person out with info on a low cost neutering clinic.

Brindle male boxer: Willing to trade for Chihuahua. He was soooo cute as a puppy, but now he’s soooo big and I think I could walk an untrained Chihuahua easier than an untrained boxer. Oh, and a Chihuahua wouldn’t eat my Pradas. Would it?

7 month Female Pekenese: I would never lecture you. It must be difficult getting rid of a dog you’ve raised from “puppyhood”. I also thank you for not getting into your personal life along with not getting me her AKC papers or fixing her.

Need a Maine coon or some domestic crossbreed kitten born between noon on April 18th and midnight April 19, 2009: Uh….I wonder how many Craigslist kitties have that birthday. I bet there’s a lot. Ok, I’ll bite. Is this a zodiac thing or a satanic thing or just a plain weird thing?

Brother & Sister: love to be cuddled, but don’t like dogs. Soooo, are they iguanas?

Yes he is funny, I read him when I see it but he gets flagged.
If in the Denver pets section, search by the word Casa and you will find more of his not flagged ones.
I did find my friend a puppy so I do not have to search anymore but I find that I want to keep reading his ads

Its funny, I had my own little craigslist rant today. I ran across 2 just lovely ads...

1. Looking to buy small/cheap farm animals for my Baby's 1st Birthday. ( goats, pigs, ducks, rabbits etc...)

2. Gray and Brown angora rabbit. Rabbit is about 1 year old. Inclubes: cage, water bottle, house, food dish, food, bedding, treats. We got the rabbit for my 3 year old niece but she was allergic.

Farm animals? For a baby's first birthday??? 'Scuse me?
And WHO on earth gets a 3 year old an ANGORA rabbit?

I saw those too Elsbet, and thought the same thing. I almost responded to one that advertised two large bags full of small boys, but decided I had enough.
