so funny

Well, it has been over a year since I last cut my cat's claws. I can't do it alone and he bites me when I try. So, tonight I had had it as I know his claws were way too long and needle sharp. I asked my DH to help hold him while I cut his claws. I had a towel but this cat is huge since he was neutered and the towel didn't quite fit, so DH got dressed up in his Carhart coat and welding gloves and was able to hang on to him long enough for me to do the job! He is 6'7" and to see him all dressed up just to hold a cat was pretty comical.. Now I wonder who will help me give him a bath??

I use a felt mattress pad to clip my girls claws. Then I can do it by myself. I double wrap her and pull out which ever paw I need, rewrapping after each paw. Works well. She is a big girl too and will also use teeth if I press the issue. The mattress pad makes it easy.

The thought of your DH putting on all that "armor" to do battle with your kitty does paint a pretty comical picture! Nice of him to lend a hand.

I would put on my husbands coveralls to cut Miss Toodle Boodles nails. That was one wild cat when you messed with her feet or tried to bathe her. It was a real workout and quite comical when I think about it now. the kids would just be rollin' and i was sweatin'. Good times.
