Lonesome George

My daughter went out to get eggs last night and heard meowing from a nearby tree. Looks like someone dumped a half grown kitten way out here in the middle of winter.
It took her a half hour to sweet talk the poor thing out of the tree and he's bedded down in the horse trailer with an old horse blanket, food, water and a litter box. He's going in to the vet on Friday for shots, worming and neutering.
He's been dubbed Lonesome George but it looks like George won't be lonesome any more.
I have a good kid.

Thanks to you and your sweet daughter for saving ol' George! I don't understand the mindset of people who dump animals.

Three of my cats were drop offs. Seems when you live in the country, people assume you want cats. They always seem to do it in winter, too. The cats are lucky there are people like us to take them in. Have fun with George.

Give George an extra snuggle . Hadn't thought about using the horse trailer as a shelter....dh would spasm!
Nine cats here in various places, house, barn and shop, all are drops.

Thanks everyone!
It took me awhile to think of the horse trailer, but I didn't want to bring him in with the other cats and he's afraid of the dogs. Plus, I was worried about him possibly spraying in the tack or storage sheds. Horse trailers are easily washed out and ours is still pretty much snowed in anyway.
My daughter is an angel with animals. When one of her horses or ponies is frightened by something: clippers, hauling, dogs, etc., she sings lullabies to them and they settle right down. Never fails.
