Yup, if you can get it on a smooth, hard surface, shaped like an ironing board, you can scrape it. Pull the big chunks off and scrape the rest with a fairly dull bladed tool. An old garden trowel might work, you'd use the long edge and push away from you. Folks used to use a large spoon on smaller hides like muskrat.
Check You Tube for "fleshing" vids to get an idea.
Ditto on freezing it, hair side in, in an airtight bag if you can.
