Line Breeding

I have two sets of twin ewes sired by the same ram (4 girls, 2 different mothers same father). I am purchasing a ram from unrelated lines. Obviously I can breed him to my ewes without issue, but is it acceptable to breed him to his daughters or would a better solution be to keep a ram lamb from one of each set of my twin ewes and breed them to the opposite mothers?

If the lambs are destined to the meat market, it won't matter who you breed them to - generally. If you're raising breeding stock- keep the blood thinned.

Good point, didn't think about that. I plan on keeping at least two ewes, and then after that lambing will be for meat, so it wouldn't matter if I bred those daughters back to their father as long as those lambs were butchered. I was worried about having to find a replacement.
