Here is what the Durvet site says:
"DOSAGE: The dosage of cattle, sheep, swine, and horses is 3000 units per pound of body weight, or 1.0 mL for each 100 pounds of body weight once daily. Treatment should not exceed 7 days in non-lactating dairy and beef cattle, sheep, swine, or 5 days in lactating dairy cattle. If no improvement is observed within 48 hours, consult your veterinarian."
Anyway, I gave the injections as recommended by the drug company using various sites on the good thigh. Since she doesn't weigh 50 pounds the .5cc dose is over dosing but nowhere near the 7-10cc stated above. I'm wondering why there is such a big difference in dosing from knowledgable sheep people and the drug label instructions?
I talked to 2 vets about the lamb but they didn't know the dosage offhand.
The lamb is much better.
