Marking harness

Do you use a marking harness for rams? If so, why? I thought it would be used to mark the calendar for when the ewe is due and who bred them (if you have more than one ram.)

I use the paste for the reasons you stated , but only when I am to lamb out of season. My ram(s) are tame enough to let me apply it as needed .

EDIT :I should add that a ram in breeding season can be very unpredictable.

I only use it with ewe lambs. I change colors every 18 days. Only one mark. bred anything that breeds 3 cycles is sold as a fat lamb.
