is there a good sheep/goat vet in the area and how are you fixed for helpful shepherds/goat herders? (pygoras are cute but they are gpats after all!!)

My only though is that the goats need copper and the sheep can't have any. I've never had goats, but I've heard that you can give them copper boluses and then feed sheep mineral to everyone.

Where's the ram? Do you not want to breed them - just fiber?

I think to start I'd prefer no ram - fibre is the goal for now - I was thinking it would be awesome if they were bred though - and suspect they might be

vets are in the area - small and large - I've actually seen people taking goats into the clinic so am not too worried about that

I've actually live with goats before (as TB companions and barn buddies) and spent 6 weeks on an Australian sheep station working - I like goats and their intellegence but was quite taken with the cute little shetland sheep too!
