Question BFL cross with rambouillet ewe???

Would it be a good idea to cross these breeds?

I was thinking the fine-ness of the Rambouillet and the length of the BFL.

I don't think it could be a bad cross. Both of a terrific crimp.

I had one, awesome fleece and a good mother. Lost her to old age yr before last. Have her daughter bred to a shetland dorset cross. Crazy wool on that one.

I'd LOVE to get a sample of that cross wool for my poster! I have one we display at sheep shows were BFLs are entered, and people love it. Handspinners are amazed at the fleece improvement BFLs make on any breed.
I've not seen a BFL-Rambo cross, but have seen both Merino and Cormo crossed with BFL, and its lovely. There is a woman in New England who routinely wins handwpinning fleece competitions with her BFL-Cormo fleeces.
