Wide Load

Wide Load - Sheep

Frazzlehead...you thought your girl was wide? Poor Brekka is just sooo uncomfortable right now. We went from snow earlier this week to low 70's...she was panting like a dog yesterday when I took this.

She's an icelandic, donsgal.

Last year she singled, but lost the lamb. Brekka belongs to a friend of mine; I never saw the lamb but Brigget said he was huge, like a two or three week lamb ought to be. Brekka just carries a lot of weight; she's a big, meaty ewe who needs about half the feed that the other girls do, but who's going to take the time to seperate her for every meal?

I had a goat that got that wide last year -- she was a piggy thing, too, and like you, I couldn't separate her for every meal. But she was carrying about 27 lbs. of triplets.
