long sad night

just thought I would share a little, my black rex gave birth last night around 630 pm but there was only one and it was freezing(in the nest box) and she looked like she was gonnatake her time so I put it in with another doe to keep warm. Then the dang black rex bust 3 out around 1030 and they die because I didn't get to them in time. This morning I found a bunch more in her box. Out of 12, 8 of them died I saved 4 warmed them up and put them back in her nest box, so weird she has always been a good mom. Poor girl was kindling for 12 hours! On the other hand my blue rex had 9 and so far all have stayed alive and well.

That's so sad jolly rabbit. I'm sorry. I hope those four do very well.
Personally, I think I would have brought her in the house to warm up.
