Need Advice Quickly (Cages for Sale and 1 day to decide)

So I been looking to get 5 more cages. I found 5 on craigslist and the guy will give me 5 cages for $100 delivered to my door. Its all one cage but split into sections the guy said this 13ft wide / 3ft deep / 2ft tall. So using my horrible math skills I wager each cage will be roughly 31in wide, 36in deep, 24in tall. My current cages are close to spec, they are 36in wide 24in deep, and 24in tall. They are the basic wire cages from BassEquipment (In Monet about 100 miles and $130 or so new)

One thing that worries me is he left them outside in the elements.

I see some rust on the cage and I am not sure if its the J clips only or not. Will this cause any problems? Also you think its a good deal? I thought with the rust of going $80 but I don't want to risk my rabbits either. Thanks for any opinions you can give, one of the nice things is he has been trying to sell these for 3-4 months and his price has been dropping

We just bought something similar, we got a '4 hole', 2x '2 hole' and a few just in house variety for $100. Not delivered.

I think these look great (to me)...but we're new at this I say go for it!

Appreciate the feedback I decided to go a head with it, I got the guy to throw in the 5 bottles 32oz+ (look more like 64oz bottles) + 5 9 1/2 feeders for $120 to my door.

I figure for $20 I got larger feeders then I would have bought. 7in feeders are $6.45 each and nipples are $2 each so it would cost me $42.25 for what I needed to get the cages setup. In essence I get the ready to operate cages for $97.50 for 5 cages. I don't recall what my bassequipment cages cost but they were probably $30 each so $150 + $30 for 5in feeders + nipples. Then 100 mile drive so $20 in gas and wear and tear. However I plan to paint the cages bottoms and clean the feeders etc before I put any rabbits in of course

Thanks again for the feedback. Just reaffirms the deal in my mind which goes a long way for me haha.

there is nothing wrong with those cages. I have cages that have never seen elements that aren't in near as good of shape.

Yup, you got a good deal! Just soak all the bottles, feeders in something to kill the germs, ie. bleach water or whatever you normally use. Also scrub down the cages, then spray with disinfectant, rinse and let it sit in the sun for a bit if you can.

id make sure to soak bottles feeders ect in a 10% bleach solution...

then any rust spots on the cages hit em up with some wire wool sprits with white viegar (itll loosen any additional rust) scrub a little more then wash well! id probably also rinse out the cages after the rust has been removed with a 10% bleach/water solution and let completly dry out in the sun.

otherwise i agree, looks like a realy good deal!

Yeah I just got them tonight, the pictures don't do it justice.....its huge lol. Gonna take me a week to figure out my new build....my original wasn't built right so back to the drawing board lol. My mommas are gonna LOVE these new cages, gonna put my buck inside one as well for run room.

Thanks again for the help everyone...will start cleaning everything tomorrow so its ready for later.

*Edit*
One question, what is a good easy method to lock a cage door that opens out and not in? He used cloths pins but I want something more secure in place. Thanks again everyone

We have an English Spot buck that I swear has learned to open the latch get past it's inward swinging door. We use a little carabiner on its door.
