As some of you know and some of you don't, california just signed into law bill 917, which says animal sales cannot be held in public places and has stiff penalties for doing it. That means no rabbit sales at shows, no meeting to pass off buns in the parking lot, no giving away bunnies at fairs, no winning goldfish at the carnival, no selling puppies at a dog show, etc... There is another bill , bill AB1117 that, essentially strips away due process rights of animal owners. You think this will stop in California? Think again!

Rabbitgeek had a letter he wrote to the ARBA printed in this months domestic rabbit magazine calling all ARBA members to action to stop this nonsense.

If PETA and HSUS really want to make a huge impact I have one VERY simple solution. All their members should as quickly as possible put a pistol to their head, and pull the trigger....To eliminate all the suffering THEY cause. Seems they forget THEIR mere existence is having a major impact on all creatures, abused, or not!! They consume land is which stripped for their homes, drive cars that pollute the animals enviroment, and what of the millions of acres that are bulldozed to accomadate their vegan life style. The fertilization of fields, organic or not, is a huge problem for fish. I could go on, and on. FACT, ALL living creatures take life in one form or another, it is the way this planet works....and yes vegetables do feed on the decaying matter that was once alive, I guess that makes lettuce a canibals......think of that you vegan snobs!!

The saddest part about this is that it makes all the puppy mills and backyard breeders of ALL animal types even harder to find. Way to make them more invisible!
