KY state Fair Aug 17-21

Just wondering if anyone will be there to show their rabbits?? My daughters are going for their 2nd ever rabbit show... 1 show for fair other for 4H...
We went to one in Ill an ARBA show.. they did good. Both got Best in Color In their class (both were jr then) Now one is Sr and one is JR... so should be intresting! BTW they have mini Rex

Then we gotta get some "other" bunnies soon that are for EATING, so we can breed em and not worry about show quality!

I really would like to go, we wouldn't be showing or anything though. I like to take the girls around to look at the different breeds and see what we all might be interested in. I hope your girls do well there.

I just don't get that far away from the farm anymore. Several years ago, I did go to the ARBA national which was held in Louisville ... picked up several rabbits in fact, from breeders that were attending that I wouldn't have had access to otherwise. One of my favorite bucks (still with me in fact) came from a breeder in Utah.

I would not mind going but it would cost us 50.00 just to get in, (10.00 parking, 15.00 x 2 adult tickets, and 1 10.00 child ticket. After that and the gas to get there I cannot aford it.

I think show people tend to be a bit obsessive regardless of species, I'm sure they're not totally normal ... and I've been one of them. Done horses, dogs and am acquainted with rabbit show people ... not much difference that I can see!

Glad your girls did well ... 4H is good for kids ...
