Tanning ?

Anyone have a simple, easy to understand method of tanning rabbit skins ?
They are so very nice, hate to throw them away !

We use a tanning formula in an orange bottle. It works fairly well. I have heard of other ways using common chemicals and a cloths dryer, but the DW won't let that happen....
You can buy it from Funkes Traps and Tags.

Here's the other method, without the dryer http://wooliecreations.net/fun/index...d=26&Itemid=56

I read a good article in Mother earth news about an easy tanning method. I've never done any tanning myself, but it seemed like it was reasonably do-able.

But here's a couple others, too:

We had a thread about tanning on rabbittalk last year that ended up with some really good information on tanning from RiverPines who was a taxidermist for years.

http://rabbittalk.com/tanning-this-week-t792.html

There are a couple other threads there in the "rabbits for fur" subforum that you may find interesting.

P.S.; if you can't see the thread for some reason (I THINK guests are able to see the forums, but can't remember) PM me and I'll copy the information over here. It's just easier to link it.
