NZW or Cali?

I have the opportunity to trade some flemmy popples for either NZW's or Cali's. Either breed I choose is coming with pedigrees. I am thinking of one or the other to keep them purebreds as selling purebreds will bring a better profit than for meat market. I am SO HAPPY I could spit!! I know both breeds are really well known meat breeds, but there has to be pros and cons for each breed.

Which is better in regards to:
1- Mothering
2- Grows the fastest
3- Temperament
4- Ease of breeding
5- Most kits to weaning (on average)
6- Healthiest (overall least genetic health issues)
7- Marketability
8- Cheapest upkeep costs
9- Most profitable? Cost vs Profit ratio?

I've only raised NZW, but from what I've read and understand:

Which is better in regards to:
1- Mothering- NZ
2- Grows the fastest- NZ
3- Temperament- Cal
4- Ease of breeding- ???
5- Most kits to weaning (on average)- NZ
6- Healthiest (overall least genetic health issues)- ???
7- Marketability- ???
8- Cheapest upkeep costs- should be the same
9- Most profitable? Cost vs Profit ratio? NZ b/c "supposed" to have larger litters

This is for the "average" NZ from good lines. Of course there will be individuals from both breeds that either go above or below the norm.

TY Lyndseyrk!

By ease of breeding I meant ease to get bred. Alot of people seem to have problems with their does getting bred the first/second time. Knock on wood, I have never had that problem but was wondering if this seemed to be a breed trait or an individual thing.

As for breeding, I have no experience with NZ, but my Cals bred VERY easily. That's good, because my Cal buck is quite particular about our NOT helping him! We can cover the doe's eyes to help keep her calm, but we'd better not dare try to lift a reluctant doe for him! He'll stamp his foot and walk away.

Oh, I knew what you meant, I just put ??? because I didn't know the answer. Years ago, I used to raise NZW for show. Almost everyone was a pain to breed (but I did do most of my breeding in the winter)....Now I have them for meat production, and my does are VERY frisky, if you KWIM!

LOL, yup, definitely KWYM.

I think I am gonna get NZW trio and a pair of Cali's. Then I can breed both purebreeds and mutt mixes for meat production and hybrid vigor. Does this sound like a good plan?
