New Doe Possibly Pregnant/Ready to deliver

So yesterday morning I attempted to breed that broken Agouti doe that I have. She didn't want to have anything to do with the buck. Squealing and grunting the entire time. I gave up and separated them. Decided that I would try again today and if she still wasn't interested, I'd breed another doe instead. So this morning I go out and breed this other doe that I had planned to (done in literally 5 seconds). The whole time the whole breeding process is going on, two cages down is the broken doe. She's a squealing and grunting again. I already know my breeding with her isn't going to happen. So when I put the other doe up and go down to her cage, I noticed that she somehow cut her upper lip. It doesn't look bad, but it did have dried blood on it. Anyway, I reached in the cage and was examining her lip and debating on whether or not to try to breed her. I pulled her out and examined her to see if she was "ready". That's when I noticed it. In the back corner of her cage was a big wad of hair. Neatly piled into the corner of the cage. Oh, gosh! I immediately went into a whirlwind of thoughts...she can't be pregnant..or could she? I've only had her six days. My husband and step-dad went to pick up several rabbits and she was one of them. My husband said she was caged alone, but there was a buck in the cage next to her. They also had some weanling babies, other does, and some running around the yard. So I guess it's possible at some point she was with another rabbit and is pregnant. I went and got the nextbox out (which my husband just built 2 days ago, even though I wasn't planning on neeeding it for a good month), removed the pulled hair from the corner of the cage, put the box in that corner and put the hair inside. I then continued giving all the rabbits hay, and was curious as to what she would do when I gave her hers. As expected, she didn't eat it, but gathered it all in her mouth and carried it around...then put it in another corner of the cage....I kept moving the box around until she finally started putting stuff it in. I just knew she was going to try to have babies on the wire. She spent a lot of time out there this morning, rearranging it, and DIGGING in it like crazy. I finally came back in the house when she got out and sprawled out in the cage, she was hot and breathing hard. I'll go back and check on her in a few.

So I guess my question is, she wouldn't be doing all of this if she wasn't pregnant would she? I mean, that would be a good reason why she didn't want to breed (even though I know many will breed when they are pregnant). Also, she only ate about half of her feed last night. She normally cleans it up.

So are we having babies or is my doe just crazy?

I'd say she is likely pregnant... good thing you had the nest box ready! You could try putting her hay into the box and forming a hollow at the back with your fist and then putting the fur there. It may increase the chances that she will use the box when she kindles.

Of course, she is a RABBIT and you have to allow for the possibility that she is just messing with you. So don't be too disappointed if no kits arrive.

So still no babies....how long should I wait before removing the box? She's made a beautiful nest, but sleeps in it. My does have always spent little time in the nestbox....Do you think she's just a cwazy wabbit?

Oh, also learned today that the people we got her from said that they had tried to breed her before, but never had babies (not sure if they couldn't breed her or if she never conceived). Said she would pull fur all the time and make nests though. Also said their vet said that she was probably wormy and that's why she was doing that. I've never heard of such a thing! Is this plausible?

I've never heard of anything like it, but I've only had 3 litters and all are from the same mom.
