false pregnancy

I bought a doe on Aug 10th. The previous owner said she had put the doe in with the buck on JUly 31st. That would have made her due on Sept 1st.
We gave her a nest box 3 days before her due date, and she looked like she was nesting, but was pooping up her box daily. We cleaned it and she still has it.
Yesterday I gave up and put her in with my buck Bobby.
She was very cooperative and bred almost imediately.
But now this morning she is back to nest building and has taken all the straw out of the box and is returning it back to the box.
is she still in a false pregnacy or just crazy? No way she is pregnant from Bobby and nesting for the next time.
How long should I have waited to breed her after this miss? The last doe that I had in a false pregnacy we culled, but I cann't do that with this doe with out at least giving her a couple of chances.
What can I do to break this cycle and get her producing?

Maybe the previous owner had her dates wrong and she is still pregnant.

If not - and I guess you'll know for sure by the middle of September at the latest - she is likely pregnant now by Bobby. Maybe when she kindles, having real kits will put an end to the false pregnancy behaviour.

I'm waiting on one I thought sure would have taken by now, but nothing by Day 32.

Heat sterility in the buck? False pregnancy? Who knows.

I'm going to wait a couple more days before I put mine back to the buck; doubt I'll wait longer than Day 35.

Of course, maybe rabbits are like humans, in that coitus may stimulate labor?

Hmm....

There was some discussion of this in a previous thread. Putting the doe in with the buck and allowing him to mount but not complete the act (poor boy) is a method sometimes used when a doe has a stalled labour.

I am thinking it was a heat problem in the buck that the person who owned my doe has.
i am kinda glad she didn't have them cause they were her sires who was also her litter mates.
i did notice she is still making her nest this morning. it is possible what I am seeing is just her getting comfortable in her nest and not for the kits at all. I am still afraid to remove the nest box. Maybe after the 15th.
