I had a doe, who gave me 13 kits.
Every week, she killed 1-2. This was her 3rd litter with me... and killed the others too, but in a different way.
Litter 1 (this is just with me.. she had had more litters with previous owner), she peed on them and didn't feed them. Litter 2, she stomped on all of them at birth, and this was litter 3. I kept giving her the benefit of the doubt, and gave in to another chance for her since she produced such large amounts.

4 kits left in this litter of 13, so I removed her since they were just old enough for weaning, and put her in the "I'm going to slaughter you soon cage"...
She had a heart attack and died.

Moral of the story is... You can't get away with doing bad deeds! ^_^

I'd say she had the last laugh. Seems to me that her heart attack was the last of a long list of defiant deeds. She no doubt sat there and thought "Danged if I'll be put into pie, like Peter Rabbit's father. Over my dead body!"
