Unhappy Day turned awful

I check on all my bunnies this morn an everyone was fine. Feed them an water them an came back in the house. Went out there a few mins ago an I have 3 babies dead.. the third was almost dead I couldn't save it.

Question my doe goat got on their side of pen. Could she had scared them to death?

Now here I'm stuck on a death question..

The other 5 are ok but the 3 dead.. My doe goat figure someway to get out of her pen and was in the barn around them. There is no hair missing from the baby bunnies or anything.

Darn this day had to turn awfulllll.....

If the babies were in the nest box inside a pen, I doubt it was the goat that killed them. I don't think baby rabbits can be frightened to death... They aren't old enough to know what to be afraid of, are they? Maybe the babies just got chilled or something like that. Sorry you lost them.

Did the goat step onm them perhaps? I'm also wondering if she maybe took their breath away sniffing them. Had that happen to a hamster once, the dog sniffed it's nose and it couldn't breath.

They where up off the ground in a wire hanging cage. No danger of getting stepped on. It is a huge cage it is a 3 section cage. Gosh this is just the pits. I was really enjoying today until this evening an all he** breaks lose. I have 2 other rabbits beside of them an they where fine just them 3 little bunnies gone. I can not believe this day.

It must be the darn devil after us all or mother nature messing with us all. I hope tomorrow brings better day. Since now this one is messed up.

Kits at that age do not "just die". You need to look at your overall program and find out what is wrong.

The feed I been giving them is fresh no mold. Do not have no straw or hay due to none to be found. Next my doe goat had gotten on their side an had knocked down the grown buck cage which is right behind the babies cage. So I'm think she or the cage of the buck that got knocked off scared the ---- out of them an they jumped up an broke their neck because of the way the other way was dying in my hands. Plenty of water an everyone been eatting the same pellets only difference is the does that are pregant get a mixture of grain, pellets, calf manna. No dieases in my herd all is clean.

So that narrows it down to nothing but my doe goat getting on that side an scared them. They have never seen her before until she got on that side today. The buck rabbit that fell is ok

Rabbits can run around and break their backs. I had a full grown rabbit get scared during the 4th of July. I found him dead in his cage the next morning. I am so sorry this happened to you. I know you love your animals and take good care of them. Sometimes things like this happen.
Hugs,
Holly
