lima show

we had a great time!! 2 hours and 5 min to get there so not to bad
good conversation time with DD

it was very crowded and busy - organized chaos!
took 12 rabbits to sell to the meat guy and i'll get a check first of march. thats a first time thing for me.

i got to see alot of breeds up close for the first time which is what i really wanted. talked to people about their silver fox's . one lady says she thinks if she put a puppy in with her silver fox doe it would raise the puppy, they are such good moms!
the standard rex are stunning and really big! checkered giants are amazing to see be judged -- DD's eyes about popped out of her head those were the first really big rabbits she saw
although there were flemish giants everywhere-- they are as big as toddlers! and they were being carried around like babies so cute!

the ones that really caught my eye were the champagnes oh my!! the old 'i wants' kicked in big time

needless to say i may be changing my mind yet again!

gotta get ready for work
i'll post pics later of the polish we did get ---- yep thats the tease

Champagnes are really nice and very striking, I have a thing for orange rabbits thats why I have the Cremes instead. I was eye balling Silver Foxes too, realized that their bigger than I thought. Keep a rein on yourself, or you'll end up like me, with 7 breeds and a roving eye, so many bunnies, so little cage space!!

Glad to hear you had a good time! We came home with 2 new breeds from PA, now how did THAT happen? I have a plan though, just requires some breeding by the calander and co-operative does who will breed on time!

Champagnes are nice too.

My SF does aren't as big as Jo's were Honorine, hers were huge! LOL I haven't weighed my brood does in forever, I don't think they'd even fit in my weighing basket!

Yea Jo's girls are big, and she's a sweetie, she gave us our start in Florida Whites. You'll have to weigh yourself and then get on the scale holding your rabbits!

What a depressing thought, I'm currently in denial that I've gained weight and need to start exercising again!

You could put little bunny "jumps" or something in the cages so they could get lots of exercise, plus those cages will make nice brood cages! I'm looking at some now to house some of the minis in.

I saw some Lionheads priced at 150! Oh my... Most were 45ish, I got the pair for 40, good deal huh? I'll have to post some pics of my new buns too.

I hadn't realized Polish came in colors! For some reason I thought just black, I didn't even look at them at the show.
