I need all the the luck I can get. My heritage Delaware eggs are going to hatch in two days. How is everybody on the forum hatching going?

I lost my first batch when our power went out for an indeterminate amount of time. So I started over again lol. Right now I've got 10 eggs in my bator but they're just mutt chickens. This will be my first hatch.

I have never tried the incubator thing, but we did have our first hatch this year. We got a silkie hen to raise babies for us and she just hatched the four "test" eggs we gave her. Adorable little healthy babies. Best of luck with your impending hatch!

Are you the one that got your eggs from Florida?

Me, too with the power outage. I have the worst luck with ducks! I finally hatched a bunch last spring and we had a dog come eliminate nearly everything with feathers. This year we were doing great! My son had candled and we had lots and lots of viable ducks, half due next week. Had a windstorm yesterday and a tree took out a power pole, and by the time I got home from work and the power came back on, the cabinet incubator was 74*. I figure I've got nothing left, but I'm going to leave them in there and hope for a miracle. Dang, they were doing so well!!
I did start up the other incubator with our own turkey eggs after the power came on last night. I was planning on it anyway, and figured the wind was over....
