Brown Egg Size
My Wyandottes were born on March 3 and have been laying for a few months now. The eggs are almost all medium size with the exeption of one hen that seems to lay jumbo eggs with a double yolk a lot. They stopped laying the small pullet eggs a while back.
I was at a farm market looking at their brown eggs yesterday, and they seemed massive compared to mine. Wondering if I need to switch breeds. Normally I would not care about size, but I do sell my extra eggs. I have been tossing extra eggs into each dozen I sell, to make up for the medium size.
Will the eggs become larger as they age?
