Thoughts on keeping injured Roo safe til weekend

My roo has an (re)injured leg. I think he either hurt himself running to "defend" one of his girls from their imaginary predators, or he got a little run over by a goat. (goats and chickens are kept together)

I can keep him in the henhouse but it has been hot lately so he would fair better out of it. The house isn't that hot though, just not cool. Its in the shade. My worry is that he might injure himself more if he hears one of the girls squawking cause he can't get to them. His leg has been bugging him for a couple of months, but today it was worse. He can walk and eat but if he dips too much, he will fall over. No visible signs of damage.

We are building a corral for them to be safe in, this weekend (hopefully) Any thoughts on keeping him quiet to recover a bit? Keep him in or let him out? PS, these girls are new and he is my pet. (same roo that was sick before-had limp/stumble then) but appears much more normal now.

I have to be at work all this week all day or I would just lock him up the parts of the day that the goats are quiet.

Another thought, what do you guys think about giving him some aspirin to see if he responds to it? I am not a big fan of any pain meds, but it might help with any new inflammation AND it might tell me if there is something else wrong, like a tumor on his leg or spine that we cant see. I don't know much about using meds with them like that. it would be nice if I could just make him drowsy and rest for a couple of days! lol You know Roo's, always going til they die!
