mature roo running with pullets

I have a mature buff running around with a few pullets. Do you have the same concern with poultry as you do with mammals with breeding too early? Or will it be fine for them to be running around together? They have to be closing in on 20 weeks so they are close to laying age. But Im more concerned with these new chicks I have coming up. They are only about 2 weeks old but in a few more weeks they will be turned out to the yard

Our two roosters have been good about waiting for our pullets to grow up before breeding them. They also wouldn't hurt our chicks who were with their Banty mamma. The chicks and other chickens free ranged together but were not housed together. I'm not sure about how other roosters would act though.

The roosters will have no interest in the girls until they start producing the hormones that signal their readiness to breed.
Then..all bets are off.
