More great pics, Karen!

I swear, if you were close-ish to me, I'd PAY you to teach me about photography!

I just get as close as I can (thats why I like my lens 18-275--I think--my sister took it home with her--I have hers 75-210--can't be real close with that one)

As for the camera--I don't know how to work it. I can change ISO and basically that is all I do except zoom. Its too technical for me. I love SLR, but I tell my husband fix it so its a point and shoot.

I am also usually sitting on the ground (eye level) or lower, when I shoot.

But you have to check out my new babies in cattle. We had 2 calves born this week.

No, I just like to take pictures.

A pro destroys all evidence of bad shots--I still have them, just don't advertise.

Nice. Crystal clear. That last one is the coolest. I like how it doesn't immediately reveal itself. It makes the viewer work a little to figure out what it is, or could be.

What camera do you use? Those are lovely pictures and we're thinking about upgrading our camera some time soon.

Beautiful pictures. Especially the one of Peter. It would make a great picture for next years calendar.

Canon 20D,lenses described above.

I have heard the calender mentioned over the time I have been on the forum, but haven't really looked into it. How does that work? Is there a time to submit, then how do you get the calender?

Like I said, haven't looked into it.

If HT decides to do a 2013 calendar, someone (most likely AngieM2) will start a thread in the fall about submitting pictures for the new calendar. Folks then email their pictures to Angie and she puts them up for people to vote on. After the winning pictures are picked, the calendar is assembled and printed and are offered for sale here in the Homesteading Store section of HT.

Here's a link to the thread to order the 2012 calendar. There are only a couple of calendar's left. It is really nice. I think this years is the best one yet. Get your 2012 Homesteading Calendars Here!
