Fingers crossed with broody hen

Much to my surprise one of my white leghorns went broody on sept. 4th. Today is day 7 and she's still doing her thing I candled the eggs tonight and all 7 (1 of hers and the rest her sisters) had spidery veins running through. It's my first time with chickens and I really didn't expect or plan to have any hatch here, but now that it's a possibility I'm so excited it's practically all I think about....I'm boring the crap out of my co-workers talking about it..LOL.
Papa is a young Roo a friend gave to me. He looks a lot like a black star. His feathers are barred like a Dominique but he has a single comb and pink legs....any ideas on what the chicks may look like if I'm lucky enough to get some?

Being even more of a newbie than you, I couldn't hazard a guess, but I do have a question. How old is your hen? I'm looking forward to possibilities.

She's 6 1/2 months old. Even if she abandons the eggs tomorrow, one thing is very clear to me....I want a hen that wants to hatch So if little Molly gives up on me I plan to get a breed of chicken in the spring that has a reputation for hatching (im still rooting for Molly though

To increase your chances of little Molly staying broody....keep all the varmits and critters away. Hens don't liked to be messed with.

I have a chicken hutch that I decided to move out to next to the coop just for her. My other girls kept squeezing in with her and laying more eggs! Hopefully she'll see this through Today is the 9th day
