Brooding peacocks- help!

I tried this about a month ago...picked up 3- one month old peacock babies that were the same size as the bourbon red turkey poults I hatched out and brought them home. Fed them the exact same diet they were on (same brand). They were getting along fine with the 2 turkeys babies- no picking at all. I put them in with in the wire floored rabbit hutch with the solid top and half has solid sides. Warm temps- all birds fully feathered. Peachicks had been in a barn before I got them. Next morning...2 peachicks are in the gravity feeder dead (even though they could have gotten out easily)...3rd fine. Next morning...third one dead. The gal is replacing them and I am to pick up one month old tommorrow with 2 three day olds. Of course the youngest ones will be in a brooder....but what can I do to ensure they don't keel over this time?
