Dew Drop Auto Waterer

I ran accross a few dew drop waters I had left from my closed rabbitry. I was thinking using them in the side of a two and a half gal. bucket that soap powder came in to see if they would work for my chickens. The dew drops have a threaded end so could be mounted using a nut and plumbers tape. do you see any real problems with this? If it works with small bucket I will upsize
