ok substitute?

I was given Purina Flock Grower crumbles instead of my grow crumbles for the chicks. The chicks are over 10 weeks old, will it be ok to feed them that? Or should I let the layers get that & give the layer pellets to the chicks for now?

Im too far from town to exchange it plus Im sick & not going anywhere. I haven't used it before but what's the difference between it & the other feed?

Give the chicks the flock grower.

We just finished up a bag of Flock Grower and our chicks are now 13 weeks old. I'm switching the layers over to Layer rations and the others are going in the freezer (late, I know)

I'd heard to switch them over to a layer ration with a bowl of oyster shells 1 month before they start laying...

I'm a newbie so I am paying close attention to this subject. My 5 week old straight run are getting medicated crumbles. The feed store said to give them that until about 3 weeks before they go in the freezer or start laying eggs. The reasoning is that it takes that long for the antibiotics to get out of their system. Layers go on a higher protine layer formula and get a source of calcium when they start laying.
