Best way to catch (and not injure) geese?

We have an abundance of stupid geese and I need to downsize the goose "herd" from 8 down to at least 4. The geese are in a pen, but aren't used to being handled. I'd like to bring them to the animal swap next month, but I have no idea how to catch them without hurting them or me.....figured somebody would have some tips.....thanks in advance!

Get them cornered facing away from you and grab both wings at the very top. If you can't do that, grab them by the neck and pick them up. NEVER grab a duck or goose by the feet or legs as they are weak and easily injured.

Hmm my goose was super friendly and annoying, very easy to catch since you tripped over her every two feet.
Are they like chickens where you can catch them easier at night? If so then you can get them in the very early morning of the swap and box them up before it turns light.

Nope geese can see at night and are awake most of the night . I hear them talking to each other even when it is after midnight.

Geese can also see in UV (black light) while chickens cannot, so that makes it harder to sneak.

We use a chute. Constructed wherever we need it, whenever we need it. A couple cattle panels and t-posts does the trick. Make it a V shape, herd the geese into it, follow them in and start catching. Have someone to hand them off to if you need more than one or two. I catch them using the neck as a handle, I do not pick them up by the neck. Grab the neck, turn them away from you, push them down, and either wrap and arm over and scoop them up (if you only need the one) or secure the tops of both wings and pick them up that way if you need to hand them off quickly.

Just make sure whatever you do, you secure the wings or you will have two black eyes. I made that mistake once upon a time.
