I always pick my chicks up from the hatcheries I buy from (2 local ones here in Wisconsin). I like to see their setup and talk with the owners.

It would be very interesting to see the full operations. Breeding, incubator, hatching, etc.

Ladycat thanks for the video. My 2yr old loved it & he can't wait until we get ours this year. We just don't know where we are going to get them, yet.

I so suggest Ideal. I just got mine in and lost 6. She actually is going to ship me the six at no charge along with other filler rooster chicks for warmth. WOW. I thought for only six theyd just credit me. I had that option but rather have those six. And I'm weird would love the extra roos for the freezer (even if they prolly will be Leghorn roos)

They might not be Leghorn roos. I ordered turkeys from Ideal a couple years back, and what I got extra for "warmth" lol were 4 beautiful Buff Brahma bantam chicks, one roo and three females!
