they only have some many eggs yes, but they also can ONLY lay one egg a day, even if they layed one egg EVERY DAY which their systems cant handle anyway you would still have eggs for a long time, the problem isnt the number of eggs they have its more a combination of age and condition, older birds naturally slow down, hormones slow down, just like in human women, they dont run out of eggs they run out of time and hormones,
alot of people think that because sex links lay so well right off they get burnd out and run out of eggs, they will still lay their seccond year and lay decently well if kept on a good diet,
