Question moving - house has coop.

Hey everyone,
We're moving into our house soon and there is an coop (complete and in good condition) on the property already. We want to extend the run a bit but everything else seems to look good, previous owners even left the nest boxes and perches. Should I trust it? Do I need to burn the ground for fear of disease, scrub the boxes out? The house has been empty since April. Not sure when there were birds there last. Any thoughts?

I would definitely scrub out/spray the whole coop with bleach and scrub and hose.
Give it time to dry well.
I would scuffle and burn the ground, paying special attention to the fenceline or move the pen over a bit.
Better safe than sorry.

Exclamation

Try and talk to the people who left. Chicken people would tell if there were any thing wrong. After all is done I would probully spread seven dust all around also.
