Problem is, with photo contests, what they are usually doing is getting free rights to a photo so they can sell it to other people.

That's my avatar every where I go on the internet. You wouldn't believe how many people compliment me for it. I always tell them it's a pic of a friend's chicken.

Of course! Everybody seems to love that photo. I've had other friends use it as their avatar as well. Ms. Knowitall is still my favorite hen.

Hmm that sounds nice. Last time I entered some really nice poultry photos (to Backyard Poultry) they never used them. Said they we're as "interested" in them. So I give up on photo contests.
