Dig proof coop foundation

I'm going to build my first coop later this year. I really don't want to pour a concrete floor, want to have just the dirt. What type of wire, materials do you guys line the bottom edges with to prevent predators from digging under.

Thanks
Daniel

A couple of feet of 1/2 inch hardware cloth will stop most everything.
No need to dig, just attach the edge to the coop and let it lay flat on the ground.
Put some dirt on top and let the grass grow up through it

Same here. Although I use both the hardware cloth on some things and poultry wire on the tractors. Like bearfoot said, just attach at right angles to the outside of the coop and things can't dig thru it. make it 2' wide and the critters just give up. Works on fox, mink, coon, and best of all in my farm DOGS.

The hardware cloth sounds perfect. I allways try to do things the hard way. The thought of digging and burying wire makes my back hurt. I think I will use the hardware cloth and cover it with gravel to catch the rain runoff. Great Idea.

Thanks
Daniel
