Can you tell male or female at two months?

How do I tell if I can? Spurs? I have a chance at picking up some more chickens at 3.50 a piece that are either one and a half months old or two months old. I really don't want a bunch of roosters, can I tell this soon? I also have a problem with adjusting them to the old girls, can I just throw them in. Because of the heat there really is no good place to quarantine them off by themselves?

If they are single combed the males tend to have much larger and redder combs at that age. Spurs won't tell you anything.

You can tell by the stance sometimes and by the legs and feet.
The feet are bigger and thicker and so are the legs. They are further apart too.
Take that and the combs and wattles coming in and you have a shot.

Thank you!

What are my odds if I throw them in with the other 2 month olds?

Yeah.. just toss them in. At this young age there will be no problems. I don't think chickens can count until they are least 4 months old.

They should get along fine. I would just be concerned about bringing disease in with the new birds.
