Exclamation Predation

Found a site (sorry if it's been posted before) with great explanation about predators

http://icwdm.org/Inspection/livestock.asp

I thought I was dealing with a raccoon, but then caught an opossum in the trap, but after reading this, I think I may still be dealing with a coon and the 'possum was going for the carrion. grrrrr I'm losing a girl a night and at the rate I'm going, I'll be out of chickens soon *sob*.

*goes off grumbling rather madly*

If it's raccoon, they are never alone! NEVER!!! We thought we had our problem solved after removing 5 here (the other 4 were caught at the guest house) but last night one got into the pen and dumped some buckets of rocks and stuff creating a huge mess.

We had sweet corn for lunch. Guess what I'm using for bait tonight.
