my 9yo is holding it now and its little mouth is opening and shutting I hate it when animals die and it is worse when the kids are sad. sorry for sounding silly but i figured I could say this here.

sorry for you...my little guy gets upset whenever one of our animals die, so I totally understand. He is also my right arm in taking care of them.

Awww, I just happened across this and wanted to tell you I am sorry. Be sure to tell your son how much it meant to the bird to be held.

so sorry. We are getting a regular little graveyard out back with chicks and unborn quail we lost. then the kids get those fat sad tears...that tears me up. it helps to focus on the ones still alive, but certain kids are just more sensitive than others.

Thank you for reminding me to tell him Becky. He said he wanted it to be comfortable and not cold. To me the worst part of animals is when they die!
