Tiny Piglet

We got a call from local breeder that had a sow farrow early and lost all but one. He wanted to get her re bred right away and asked if we would be willing to bottle feed it and raise it up. We went to pick him up and have got him to take 2 bottles of about 2 oz of goat milk that we had frozen. He is 3 days old. He is very tiny and we are new to this. I will could ask him some advise but would rather get it from you folks. How often to feed it, how much, what other tips do we need. He is inside a building in a cage with lots of straw and a heat light. Any and all advise would be great!! Thanks!!

Feed it about every two hours. For the first three days it should get a colostrum milk. Teach it to drink out of a dish ASAP or you'll end up ragged. The volcano shaped small dog dishes work well, especially if you fill the underside with concrete to make them heavy.

Whole milk
Yogurtized
Lightly scrambled egg
Fish oil
Dextrose (white sugar)
A quarter adult vitamin or a kid's vitamin ground up
Blend
Warm to 100°F
Feed every 2 hours and they generally drink about 2oz.

Good luck. It's a hard row you have chosen to hoe.
