American Guinea Hogs for sale

Just wanted to see if there would be any interest in my American Guinea Hogs. I have a boar and two gilts that are all about 7 months old. Bought them from Soggy Top farm (who I found from HT) who was awesome to deal with. The pigs are great, super friendly, really thrifty. Lasted all winter on hay alone with just a bit of grain a day. The only reason we're looking to move them is that we think our farm will handle larger pigs and we just picked up some Berkshires that I think will work better for our farm needs. All three are registered with the AGHA as well. I'm in south eastern South Dakota.

Let me know if you might be interested.

Thanks,
Jeff

Are you in Minnesota? Do you anticipate that you will continue to breed? I would love to buy some but I am not set up yet for them.

No I'm not in MN. I'm in south east South Dakota. I'm planning to get out of the AGH completely. There's nothing about them that I don't like. I just think that for our size of farm we can easily make use of "full size" pigs. I think someone with a smaller property than ours would really appreciate them. These three in particular are very tame. I walk in a scratch them daily. The run out of their hut everytime I walk outside. They did great outdoors all winter too. I think they'll do really well for someone.

Well that sounds like a great set up and I'd love to get into them. I can't do anything until the snow goes and I can set up a pen area.

Sure wish you were near me. I'm in Virginia and I've been looking for AGH breeding stock.
