The GMO debate is over; GM crops must be immediately outlawed; Monsanto halted from threatening humanity

Natural News is about as reliable as The National Enquirer. Mostly I'm annoyed I was just suckered into giving the moral-less shock jocks a pageview.

Rather reactionary, but I would like to know whether my food is GM. Also would like to see better and less biased studies on them. In principle, using best practices for testing, many modifications to a genome could be made to the betterment of the organism as a whole, not necessarily worse than standard hybrid/etc techniques, but big hack and slash modifications can have unknown results. In many ways the modern food science industry is making things incredibly safe but not every "advance" is always going to be better in the long term.

I suspect a lot of people world wide are going to starve (if it were true). But, hey, starvation is apparently not counted as a threat to humanity.

Another big concern with GMOs is their patenting of genes and their nasty litigious habits against farmers as well as the way the GMO companies are spreading their GMOed pollen to pollute our non-GMO plants. If they want to GMO then they should have to stop it from polluting the wild genes and non-GMO domestic gene stocks. If they do pollute other gene stocks then they should be held fully liable for the damages they cause.

"Obama has appointed Monsanto chief lobbyist as senior advisor to the commissioner of the FDA. This is the same man that was in charge of FDA policy when GMO's were allowed into the US food supply without undergoing a single test to determine their safety. He had been Monsanto's attorney before becoming policy chief at the FDA [and then] he became Monsanto's Vice President and chief lobbyist. This month he became the senior advisor to the commissioner of the FDA. He is now America's food safety czar. This Obama calls "Hope and Change"

A few months ago Natural News did a story on Feral Hogs in Michigan. It had a photoshopped picture and a bunch of lies and half truths. That site has no creditability, at all.
