Rather reactionary, but I would like to know whether my food is GM. Also would like to see better and less biased studies on them. In principle, using best practices for testing, many modifications to a genome could be made to the betterment of the organism as a whole, not necessarily worse than standard hybrid/etc techniques, but big hack and slash modifications can have unknown results. In many ways the modern food science industry is making things incredibly safe but not every "advance" is always going to be better in the long term.
