pig ratio to an acre of pasture

We are moving, The family & farm. 225 miles east and we are renting a 20 acre pasture for the animals. I want to pasture raise a liter of berks but im not sure how many pigs to put on acre? They will be rotated when needed, but i dont know how many to put on a acre.

10 sows per acre is a decent rule of thumb... 5 for organic or heavy soils. Depends on what type of soil you have, regrowth etc. Pigs don't really graze heavily in my experience. Congrats on the move.

I would put the number at 10 growing to finisher pigs per acre rather than 10 sows per acre. This is based on the pigs getting most of their food value from the pasture and using managed rotational grazing. See this article for more details:
