Large Black Mulefoot Cross breeds!!

We had a mating on our place that was not meant to be. Our Large Black boar got in with one of our Mulefoot sows and bred her. I now have 5 little half Large Black, half Mulefoot piglets. Has anyone seen this cross before? I have some photos of a couple of the piglets on my blog that can be reached from our home page.

Just a side note: The pigs are impressive, they have large ears and mule feet. They are growing quickly and are very healthy.

I have crossed out LB boar with york, berk and duroc sows and have been very happy with the results.. I think that the LB/MF cross would be a good one, should be great foragers and very thrifty. Also fast growing.. Just out of curiousity - what are the feet like?

I have crossed our LB boar with york and Berk sows as well. I also have crossed our Mulefoot boars with York and Berk sows. I actually like the MF crossed on Berk better than anything so far. (the MF X LB are not old enough to know how well they will do in the long run). As with all of our Mulefoot crossbreeds, the piglets have mule feet.
