Question cooked vs fermented feed

Cooking hog chow takes a fair amount of time.Wondering if we could ferment the feed ingredients (corn, rice, rice or corn bran etc.) to save on labor and time.
Thanks:
Michael

Maybe I am posting my question wrong. The hogs live in Asia and I live in Canada.I was told that cooked corn and rice is better for the hogs stomach vs raw??the reason why the farm cooks the feed.I was thinking if one fermented the feed would save time on not having to spend all day cooking.Should it be possible to feed the corn and rice raw, this would save even more time.
This is my question,do we have to cook the corn or can the hogs eat raw corn etc. or ferment it.

Thanks:
Michael

They will eat it no matter how you give it to them. They will DIGEST it better if fermented or cooked. Fermented is MUCH less labor intensive

Raw garbage needs to be cooked, grain is best fermented IMO. Cooking garbage is mandatory in most places to kill undesirable bacteria. Fermenting breaks the grain down to where it is more digestible and better processed by the gut. If you are limit feeding, feeding several times per day the same amount but distributed over time will increase utilization of the feed.
