just had to share

I have found a wonderful bounty

a small restaurant has opened up that serves breakfast and lunch, for a couple dozen eggs a week she will save slop for me, a full 5 gallon bucket a day.

with all the salad trimmings and lunchmeat scrapes the pigs have never eaten better

I just wanted to share with a group that would understand how great this is.

I assume this is all food that has never been on a customer's plate? 5 gallons a day could go a long way towards feeding pigs! Congratulations. Now just wish me the same luck

The only caution I have is that feeding garbage to pigs for sale is illegal, unless the garbage is cooked to prevent spread of disease. If you are feeding the pigs for yourself, you have a good opportunity to save on feed costs.

just to be sure I am adding enough water to make it a bit soupy and bringing it to a rolling boil, boiling it for 3 full minutes.
with just 2 pigs, one for us and one for family this will be most of the feed.
